The main prayer hall is surrounded by a series of free-standing shrines, housed in structures with decorated dome roofs, known as 'Vimana'. These are dedicated to the following deities: Durga, Ganesh. Historically, the temple was the Registry of Marriages for Hindus. At that time, only the priest of the Sri Mariamman Temple was authorized to solemnize Hindu marriages in Singapore. Today, in addition to its religious services, the temple promotes various social, cultural and educational activities

The internationally famous island of Sipadan lies five degrees north of the equator in the Sulawesi Sea (Celebes Sea). Lying 35km south of Semporna, on Sabah’s mainland, like many tropical islands and are thick forests and surrounded by sandy beaches. It is Enclosed by crystal pure waters, It Is one of the best diving sites with its large numbers of greenback and hawksbill turtles which gather here to mate and nest.
