It is a fantasyland of architectural dream houses fronting an extensive sand beach with excellent swimming, boogie boarding, walking and with surfing and easy access at every block. We like to stake out a spot in one of the nearby seaside grassy parks near 15th street.

Del Mar City Beach stretches from 15th Street near Seagrove Park and Powerhouse Park northward. Nearby a grassy park area with playground, bathrooms, showers and recycling bins and nearby restaurants, shops and hotels. Del Mar Beach is an excellent place for swimming, surfing, walking, and jogging. The beach is generally sandy and is lined with beautiful, expensive homes.
During racing season, you could watch the racehorses gallop along what is now Del Mar.
